Best diner ever--best prices, best service, best way to spend a morning. My favorite breakfast spot

Landmark Cafe is one of the few remaining film locations from the 80s movie "Desperately Seeking Susan." This cafe is where Roberta played by Rosanna Arquette and Dez (Aidan Quinn) were asked to leave after the waitress mistook Roberta for Susan (Madonna) While the cafe holds significant historical value, it shows signs of age and wear. The cafe could really use some fresh paint, and a little updating. They offer inexpensive breakfast options, and I found the Asian server who assisted me to be exceptionally friendly. It seems she is the sole waitress on duty. The coffee was decent, and the food was typical diner fare. I ordered the Guyere Omelet with toasts, and potatoes. The prices were very reasonable, but do note that they only accept cash payments. Check out my Instagram @travelwithmichael for the video.

It's classic coffee shop. It's all type of classic breakfasts. There's only one server and she is so enthusiastic.

My boyfriend and I love this spot! Food is simple but great, service is efficient, and retro vibes. Its pretty packed on the weekends, but definitely worth the visit!

Anyone who complains about the rude waitress is obviously a tourist better off at a Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory. She's the real deal working her ass off and doesn't have time for your bullshit. I love this place.

Underrated spot! Busy, efficient energy. Server who runs the place is magic and warm. Food came out quick. Cash only. Come early morning for some breakfast specials - we'll be back!!

Landmark Cafe is a throwback to an earlier New York. We stayed across the street for a week, using Landmark as our go-to or quick satisfaction. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a retro dining experience and many things that are right. The absolute best thing is this weakness and attentiveness shown in everybody by the staff! Lots of locals, lots of complicated turns and twists of customizations to order, and nothing but smiles and speed from the other side of the counter. Everything that I had put the spot, and you could tell from the smiles of the workers the landmark cafe repeatedly satisfied and served as a welcoming beacon during a hectic time and in busy days. If you want to sample your parents or grandparents experience of New York City, then this is the place to come for a filling breakfast and lots of smiles.
